New Asymmetrical Modular Multilevel Inverter Topology With Reduced Number of Switches

چکیده

In this article, a new single-phase multilevel inverter is introduced with reduced number of power switches and voltage stress on switches. The proposed topology consists four input dc sources nine semiconductor (eight unidirectional one bidirectional switch). can be used for asymmetrical source configuration to generate seventeen levels. extended constructed by series connection the circuit produce higher levels less without modifying existing structure. Comparison made traditional recently topologies based switches, sources, total blocking gate driver circuits, prove topology's superiority. A simple nearest level modulation has been deployed as switching scheme. Validation viability carried out through simulation hardware experimental setup.
